Josiah Kinlock

as been working in the music industry for many years: has worked on sound tracks for films in Hollywood while working at Mary Tyler Moore Studios with Ry Cooder, Jim Keltner, Roy Orbison, and others as a studio percussionist. Elvis Costello, George Harrison, Bruce Gary of the Knack, and the Neville Bros. at Round by The House Studios in Hollywood with Ivan Neville and Keith Richards of the Stones. Josiah became associated with Bob Marley and the Wailers. He was still professionally associated with the Wailers and had performed with them After Bob. A five-year association withTony McKay ~ Obeah Man / Exuma one of Bahamas top International recording artists, touring extensively as a percussionist and backup vocalist. Spent time performing at The New Orleans Jazz Festival… ringing the Bahamian Junkanoo Bells.
1982 Josiah moved to Houston, Texas where he joined and led the top Reggae Band in the city…Iribana. From Houston to Boston, formed his own band “The Firing Squad” where he did two U.S. George Clinton and The Funkadelics, which he recalls, “was one of the greatest influences in my life musically.” Josiah landed a job with Mr. John Blackwoods International Reggae Touring company Caribe International as a road manager where Josiah took International Reggae bands on tour ~ Asward, Muta Buraka, Eek-A-Mouse, Itals, Black Uhuru, Steel Pulse, The Mighty Diamonds, T***s and the Maytells, Culture, The Killer Bees, and The Meditations where he doubled as road manager and percussionist on three tours.
