Herpeotheres: Greek herpeton meaning snake or reptile and theras meaning hunter.
cachinnans: Latin meaning laughing.

Herpeotheres: Griego herpeton que significa serpiente o reptil y theras que significa cazador.
cachinnans: Latin significa reidor.

This a very vocal raptor, it prefers semi-open areas where it perchs on tall branches to look around mainly for snakes. An interesting adaptation this raptor has is the highly dense scales on the feet.

Una rapaz muy vocal, prefiere áreas semiabiertas donde se percha en ramas altas desde donde busca principalmente serpientes. Una adaptación interesante es que tiene los talones densamente escamados.

The Gray-crowned Yellowthroat (Geothlypis poliocephala) is a common resident warbler in Arenal area, quite easy to see in cattle fields and brushy fields.
Geothypis: referes to a ground parulid warbler.
poliocephala: polio (gray) kephalos (head)

La primer foto tenia que ser un residente.

El Antifacito coronigris (Geothlypis poliocephala) es una reinita residente, común del area de Arenal, es fácil de observar en pasturas y áreas con matorral.
Geothypis: se refiere a una reinita Parulidae de suelo.
poliocephala: polio (gris) kephalos (cabeza)
