With delicious food, great service in a relaxed, informal setting it's no wonder this new restaurant is quickly becoming the best 'Ruby's' in town. Why is it called Ruby Murrys? Ruby Murray was a popular Irish singer in the 1950's and appeared on the bill at the Brick Lane Music Hall. As any Londoner will tell you, Brick Lane is the 'capital' of curry, and the name Ruby Murray quickly became cockney rhyming slang for 'curry'!
