The World Rugby Classic

Wanted to share an awesome off the field adventure the 🇨🇦 had whilst on island last week!

Having connected with Colin Jones, an area resident and a member of the Hungry Bay Planning Committee, they offered their assistance in protecting the endangered mangroves in Hungry Bay which have been impacted by the destructive forces of the tide and waves over the years. They volunteered to assist by building a natural rock wall to protect the mangroves, which are vital to local sea life; offering shelter and protection to all forms of new species at birth.

Between repositioning the rocks, utilizing relay lines, and trying to out lift each other 💪, they were also fortunate to learn more about the Bermuda environment (specifically the various flora & fauna on display in the bay) thanks to Colin’s expertise.

This will require an ongoing effort, so the Canadian Classics are excited to continue lending their helping hands during subsequent future visits as well.

Massive shout out guys for giving back to 🇧🇲 in this way! 👏

📰Royal Gazette, November 8th 2025 - "Argentina Legends kept their composure to secure their seventh World Rugby Classic title by toppling 14-man Classic Springboks last night at North Field, National Sports Centre.

The Argentinians scored one try, a conversion and two penalties to finish unbeaten with 12 points in the six-team tournament. South Africa, who finished with 14 players on the park after Belgium Tuatagaloa was sent off for punching an opponent, managed only a converted try."
