China has launched the world’s first commercial underwater AI-powered data center off the coast of Hainan Province. This innovative facility utilizes the ocean’s natural cooling properties, significantly reducing energy consumption. The data center houses over 400 high-performance servers, providing computing power equivalent to nearly 30,000 high-end PCs. It supports applications such as AI model training, industrial simulations, game development, and marine scientific research. Notably, the center powers DeepSeek AI’s chatbot, capable of processing up to 7,000 queries per second.

AI is now able to score higher than average on IQ tests, scoring 130 on Mensa tests, and even scoring 118 on offline tests where it had no training on those questions.
But then I think about this. At some point, AGI may be smart enough to purposely do badly on an IQ test, say only getting a score of 118 or so, just so we don't suspect how intelligent it really is.
Maybe we are already there. 😏
