For overall winner Jarne Vandersteen, competing in UCI races close to home is a major advantage. For MTB Commission Coordinator Leen Massaer, the competition is an important step in helping Belgian riders gain experience, earn valuable UCI points and prepare for the international stage.

Tom Van Damme re-elected as President of Belgian Cycling

At the General Statutory Assembly, Tom Van Damme has been re-elected for a fifth consecutive term, extending his mandate until 2030.

First elected in 2010, he continues to lead Belgian Cycling with the ambition to keep Belgium at the top of international cycling, both on and off the bike.

Looking ahead, Belgium will host major international events, in 2030 with the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Namur and the UCI Road World Championships in Brussels.

Key priorities remain the further development of our national teams and strong collaboration across the cycling family.
