Due to the disruptions in the last years, supply chains moved to "just in case", holding much larger inventories of stocks, almost doubling from 2019 to 2022.
However, John Glen - CIPS chief economist - said that since post-congestion is now back to pre-pandemic levels, supply chains will start to be more fluid again. Moving again from just-in-case back to just-in-time.
