Over the past year, we worked together with Studio Dos Santos on the development of Sumura, a secure and intelligent charging system for e-bikes.

The idea started with a common problem: many e-bike users struggle to charge their bike safely and easily, especially in urban settings. Sumura addresses that by combining locking and charging in one simple solution, suitable for homes, workplaces, and public spaces.

VAEngineering supported the development of the embedded electronics, firmware, and system integration. Together, we helped bring the concept from early prototype to a product ready for production.

Today, Sumura is being tested with real users. A first production run is in preparation, and the system is now expanding into the B2B market.
