গত ৩/৪ বছরে যারা UK-তে স্টুডেন্ট হিসেবে গিয়েছেন, তাদের অনেকের PSW শেষের পথে। এজন্য অনেকেই নতুন কোর্সে ভর্তি হয়ে student visa extend করতে চাচ্ছেন। কেউ কেউ work permit-এ switch করেছিলেন, কিন্তু sponsor/company issues-এর কারণে আবার student route-এ ফিরছেন।

এখন সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয় হলো — কোন কোর্সে যাওয়া উচিত?

যারা dependent নিয়ে যেতে চান, তাদের জন্য অপশন তুলনামূলক কম। বেশিরভাগ ক্ষেত্রে MRes বা DBA-এর মতো research-based কোর্সই safe option হিসেবে দেখা হয়।

কিন্তু যারা dependent নিচ্ছেন না, তাদের জন্য smart course selection খুব গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। আমাদের অনেক স্টুডেন্ট UK-তে গিয়ে MSc Management, MSc Accounting, International Business, MBA-এর মতো traditional business course করেন। বাস্তবতা হলো, এই কোর্সগুলোতে competition অনেক বেশি এবং job market comparatively limited। Top কিছু student ভালো position পায়, কিন্তু majority পরে অন্য sector-এ shift করতে বাধ্য হয়।

Business background থেকেও অনেক সময় এসব course-এ admission পাওয়া সম্ভব, যদি applicant-এর genuine experience, strong SOP এবং relevant career explanation থাকে। সব university accept করবে না, তবে কিছু university flexible থাকে।

বিশেষ করে Health Care, Social Care এবং Education sector-এ future sponsorship (CoS) পাওয়ার সুযোগ তুলনামূলক বেশি। তাই শুধু “আরেকটা degree” না করে, job-oriented এবং shortage sector-focused course বেছে নেওয়া বেশি practical decision হতে পারে।

De Montfort University বাংলাদেশি শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য September 2026 intake সম্পর্কিত একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ আপডেট জানিয়েছে।

UKVI compliance measures কঠোর হওয়া এবং নতুন BCA metrics চালুর কারণে DMU সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে যে September 2026 intake-এর জন্য বাংলাদেশি শিক্ষার্থীদের কোনো CAS ইস্যু করা হবে না।

এছাড়াও, যেসব শিক্ষার্থী January 2026 intake থেকে September 2026 intake-এ defer করেছে কিন্তু এখনও visa decision পায়নি, তাদের CAS-ও withdraw করা হবে।

যেসব শিক্ষার্থীর এখনও visa decision আসেনি, তাদের visa refusal এড়ানোর জন্য UKVI application withdraw করার পরামর্শ দিয়েছে DMU।

বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় জানিয়েছে, বাংলাদেশ থেকে ভবিষ্যতে compliant, sustainable এবং সফল recruitment নিশ্চিত করার লক্ষ্যেই এই সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে।
