advocacy & HIV/AIDS Awareness activities, APOSH contributes every National, International, & especially health related day. Which prevention program APOSH was involved past two years:

APOSH played a role on “DEMAND REDUCTION PROJECT FOR DRUG USERS” as a detoxification partner. Financial management and technically supports provided by CARE Bangladesh. 458 Beneficiaries were detoxified from that project. APOSH joined HAPP (HIV AIDS PREVENTION PROJECT) project as a consortium member combined “CARE BANGLADESH” and “MARIE STOPES CLINIC SOCIETY.” APOSH joined this project as a detoxification partner from the 1st January of this year, in 2005. Until this project running smoothly funded by “WORLD BANK” and financially, management looks after by “UNICEF.” From the very first time CARE Bangladesh role the leading position and authentically provide technical support as APOSH want. APOSH has already provided detoxification facilities for 278 beneficiaries whom are they come from different district of the country as well as HAPP allotted DIC. Period during which the prevention program was conducted:

Target Group: APOSH works with every type of drug users. IDU is our target group but whom are they switch different drugs like Heroine, Cannabis, Phensedyle, the prevention Program also same effective for them. VENUE / WORKING AREA: APOSH detoxification center Rajshahi-6000. Rajshahi city corporation and other jurisdiction area. Who Conducted the Program: APOSH have two narcotic anonymous organizers to conduct the program. By rotationally they conduct the program, as beneficiary needed. Project manager handles allover responsibilities of the project. Duration: HIV/AIDS PREVENTION PROJECT (HAPP) still runs smoothly science January 2005. WHY WE CONDUCT THIS PROGRAM: Rajshahi is a divisional town of Bangladesh. That has 3.5 million inhabitance. As a border area Rajshahi faces drug abuse problem from very ago. Total population of Rajshahi faces this hazard without any protection. Drugs injure the youth of this whole population day by day. Many of them have no solvency to proper treatment. That is why they cant overcome from drug temptation. For is why APOSH conducts this program for making good result of drug addicts. Beneficiaries and donor satisfactory contribution proved that it was suitable for the age according to the spirit of the age. Describe the program process:


Planning: Drug user detoxification, rehabilitation, and try to recover strengthen position in society. IMPLEMENTATION: Already detoxification opens for all of drug user and rehabilitation facility under processing. Termination: HIV/AIDS PREVENTION PROJECT (HAPP) still runs smoothly science January 2005. Evaluation: Drug user who are they detoxified from this project almost they are enjoying drugs free life. Total 736 beneficiaries detoxified from APOSH. Among of them 43% were free from drugs now. So to say speak the truth, all drug users who lead recovery life play a vital role in their family even society. An Addict Not Bad or Not Mad, But Sick..........
