𝐈𝐄𝐄𝐄 𝐑𝐔𝐄𝐓 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡, 𝐈𝐄𝐄𝐄 𝐖𝐈𝐄 𝐑𝐔𝐄𝐓 𝐒𝐁 𝐀𝐆, and 𝐈𝐄𝐄𝐄 𝐖𝐈𝐄 𝐀𝐆 𝐁𝐃𝐒 successfully organized 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐂𝐓 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 under the inspiring theme, “𝑨𝑰 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑫𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒑𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕: 𝑮𝒊𝒓𝒍𝒔 𝑺𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆.” The event brought together distinguished speakers, academicians, professionals, and enthusiastic participants to celebrate the role of women and emerging technologies in shaping a sustainable and inclusive future.

The program commenced with an opening speech delivered by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐚 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐡𝐧𝐚𝐳, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫, 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐄𝐄𝐄), 𝐁𝐔𝐄𝐓, 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐄𝐄𝐄 𝐖𝐈𝐄 𝐍𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 & 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 (𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓–𝟐𝟔), 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐄𝐄𝐄 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 (𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓–𝟐𝟕). In her inspiring address, she emphasized the importance of empowering girls and women in the fields of ICT and Artificial Intelligence while encouraging participants to actively contribute toward innovation, leadership, and technological advancement.

The event featured 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, each conducted by distinguished speakers from diverse academic and professional backgrounds. The sessions explored contemporary topics related to Artificial Intelligence, technological development, innovation, and the future opportunities for women in technology. Participants gained valuable knowledge regarding the transformative impact of AI across various sectors and the importance of inclusivity in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Each session was conducted under the guidance of dedicated session chairs, whose academic insights and thoughtful moderation enriched the discussions and ensured smooth coordination throughout the program. The structured flow of the sessions created an engaging and intellectually stimulating environment for all attendees.

An active and interactive 𝐐&𝐀 𝐬𝐞𝐠𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 followed each session, where participants enthusiastically engaged with the speakers by sharing thoughts, asking questions, and discussing real-world applications of the presented topics. The lively participation reflected the strong interest and curiosity of the audience toward emerging technologies and career opportunities in ICT.
At the conclusion of the event, a 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 was arranged to express appreciation to the speakers and session chairs for their valuable contributions and support. The moderators also delivered heartfelt closing and thanksgiving speeches, expressing gratitude to all guests, organizers, volunteers, and participants whose collective efforts ensured the successful ex*****on of the event.

From construction sites to control rooms, from workshops to workstations, every worker, technician, engineer, and creator plays a role in shaping the future we’re building together. Their effort, skill, and resilience deserve more than recognition; they deserve respect, fairness, and opportunity.
On this day, IEEE RUET Student Branch would like to grab the opportunity to remind everyone that engineering isn’t just about innovation; it's about people. The systems we design and the technologies we create should always aim to support human dignity and improve livelihood.

Representing Bangladesh as the only The 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 (𝐌𝐕𝐈) from the country for two consecutive years is a moment of immense pride for 𝐑𝐔𝐄𝐓 and for the entire nation. His journey is a true reflection of hard work, resilience and an unwavering commitment to quality education, innovation and student development.
Achievements like this are not just about personal success, they show how one person’s hard work can inspire others and make a positive difference in people’s lives. . The event featured two keynote sessions centred on contemporary and impactful technological domains. The first session, titled “𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐅𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐯𝐬. 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥,” was delivered by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐪 𝐑𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐒𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐫𝐨, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. In this session, participants were introduced to the growing challenges of digital misinformation, deepfakes, and the importance of critical evaluation of online content. The session emphasized awareness and practical understanding of identifying authentic versus manipulated digital information in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape.

The second keynote session, “𝑫𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑩𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏: 𝑬𝑬𝑮-𝑩𝒂𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝑩𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏-𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒔,” was conducted by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐒𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐢, 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐊𝐈𝐈𝐓 𝐃𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚. This session provided an in-depth exploration of brain-computer interface (BCI) technologies, focusing on EEG-based systems and their applications in neurotechnology, healthcare, and assistive systems. Participants gained valuable insights into how brain signals can be interpreted and utilized for real-world problem-solving.

Each keynote session was followed by an interactive Q&A segment, where participants actively engaged with the speakers, demonstrating curiosity and enthusiasm. The event also included a competitive quiz segment conducted by 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐚, 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 (𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲), 𝐈𝐄𝐄𝐄 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐡. This segment provided an engaging platform for participants to assess their understanding, with top performers recognized for their achievements.

Dr Pratima Pradhan is a seasoned engineer, academic leader, and telecommunications veteran with a career spanning more than three decades. Holding a PhD in Information Technology from Singhania University, India, and a BS in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from BUET, Bangladesh, she brings exceptional academic depth to her work. She retired as Director of Nepal Telecom after 30 years of service, having also served as temporary Chief Technical Officer. She currently serves as Director at Kathmandu Engineering College, overseeing IT, Research, and International Relations, and is the Chief Editor of its Research and Publication office. As the Founder Chair of the IEEE WIE Nepal Section since September 2025, she stands as a trailblazer for women in engineering across the region.
