Iran Summons European Ambassadors to Present Evidence of Protest Violence

Iran's Foreign Ministry summoned the ambassadors of the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, and France to formally present video footage it says proves protesters were involved in violent acts. During the meeting, Iranian officials argued that recent unrest had gone beyond peaceful demonstrations and showed signs of organized and coordinated attacks.

Tehran asked the diplomats to immediately relay the footage to their respective foreign ministries and urged European governments to reconsider official statements expressing support for the protests. Iranian authorities emphasized that, in their view, the recorded incidents reflected sabotage rather than a nonviolent civil movement.
