KUET Mars Rover - Team Durbar

সাম্প্রতিক সময়ে কুয়েট ক্যাম্পাসকে অস্থির করার অপচেষ্টায় “কুয়েট” নাম ব্যবহার করে কিছু স্বার্থান্বেষী ফেসবুক পেজ সম্মানিত শিক্ষকদের বিরুদ্ধে পরিকল্পিতভাবে মিথ্যা, বিভ্রান্তিকর ও মানহানিকর তথ্য ছড়িয়ে দিচ্ছে। এদের মধ্যে “কুয়েট বুলেটিন” নামের একটি পেজ বিশেষভাবে সক্রিয়। উক্ত পেজের মাধ্যমে আমাদের টিমের মডারেটর, মেকানিক্যাল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বিভাগের সম্মানিত অধ্যাপক ড. মোঃ হেলাল আন নাহিয়ান স্যারের বিরুদ্ধে ধারাবাহিকভাবে ভিত্তিহীন ও অসত্য অপপ্রচার চালানো হচ্ছে।

কিন্তু কুয়েটের শিক্ষার্থীসহ দেশবাসী জাতীয় ও সামাজিক যোগাযোগমাধ্যমের মাধ্যমে প্রত্যক্ষ করেছে যে ২০২৪ সালের জুলাই-আগস্ট আন্দোলনে নাহিয়ান স্যার অত্যন্ত দৃঢ়তা, সাহসিকতা ও স্পষ্ট অবস্থানের পরিচয় দিয়েছেন। ৩১ জুলাই কুয়েটের এক শিক্ষার্থীকে থানা থেকে মুক্ত করার ক্ষেত্রে তিনি সক্রিয় ভূমিকা রাখেন এবং ১ আগস্ট ক্যাম্পাসে সম্মানিত শিক্ষকদের মানববন্ধন কর্মসূচিতে সম্মুখসারিতে থেকে নেতৃত্ব প্রদান করেন।

এছাড়াও স্যারের ব্যক্তিগত ফেসবুক কার্যক্রম পর্যালোচনা করলে দেখা যায়, জাতীয় সংকটের সময়গুলোতে তিনি সবসময়ই সচেতন ও সোচ্চার ছিলেন। ২০১৮ সালের কোটা সংস্কার ও নিরাপদ সড়ক আন্দোলন, ২০১৯ সালে বুয়েট শিক্ষার্থী আবরার ফাহাদ হত্যাকাণ্ড-পরবর্তী আন্দোলন, এবং ২০২৪ সালের মে-জুন মাসে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় শিক্ষকদের পেনশন সংক্রান্ত আন্দোলনসহ বিভিন্ন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ইস্যুতে তিনি প্রকাশ্যে নিজের অবস্থান তুলে ধরেছেন।

কুয়েট মার্স রোভার–টিম দুর্বার-এর পক্ষ থেকে আমরা আমাদের টিমের মডারেটর অধ্যাপক ড. মোঃ হেলাল আন নাহিয়ান স্যারের বিরুদ্ধে পরিচালিত এই মিথ্যা, বিভ্রান্তিকর ও কুৎসামূলক প্রচারণার তীব্র নিন্দা ও প্রতিবাদ জানাচ্ছি। পাশাপাশি, এ ধরনের অপপ্রচার ও ষড়যন্ত্রে জড়িতদের বিরুদ্ধে যথাযথ ও দৃষ্টান্তমূলক শাস্তির জোর দাবি জানাচ্ছি।

Red and Green flying high!

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that KUET Mars Rover Team Durbar has secured the 2nd Position globally in the prestigious Mars Autonomous Rover Rally Design Competition. Competing against talented teams from around the world, our team showcased the efficiency of our autonomous algorithms by successfully navigating the rover through a perfect 20 out of 20 waypoints. We completed the course in a record time of 35 minutes and 53 seconds, securing a prize of $3,000 USD.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the organizers and sponsors, including the NASA Texas Space Grant Consortium, Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M University and the ASTRO Lab for providing this incredible platform to showcase our engineering skills.

This incredible acheivement has been possible by the constant support of our honourable Team Moderator Prof. Dr. Md. Helal An Nahiyan sir and our honourable Co-Moderator Assistant Professor Fahim Islam Anik sir. We are deeply indebted to you.

It is truly a remarkable day for Bangladeshi robotics and we congratulate our fellow countrymen from AAUB Voyagers, CUET Mongolchari and RUET Exover for their outstanding achievements as well. From Khulna to the global stage, we keep moving forward!
