১. অ্যারোবিক সিস্টেম (Aerobic System)

➡️অক্সিজেন প্রয়োজন: উচ্চমাত্রার Dissolved Oxygen (DO) প্রয়োজন; সরবরাহ করা হয় blower বা aerator দ্বারা।

➡️Microorganisms: অ্যারোবিক ব্যাকটেরিয়া এবং অন্যান্য মাইক্রোঅর্গানিজম।

➡️BOD/COD অপসারণ: দ্রুত ও কার্যকর; সাধারণত 85–95% পর্যন্ত।

➡️ Sludge উৎপাদন: উচ্চ; নিয়মিত অপসারণ ও হ্যান্ডলিং প্রয়োজন।

➡️ Energy Consumption: উচ্চ; blower, surface aerator বা diffuser ব্যবহার করা হয়।

২. অ্যানারোবিক সিস্টেম (Anaerobic System)

▶️ অক্সিজেন প্রয়োজন নেই: ব্যাকটেরিয়া anaerobic অবস্থায় কাজ করে।

▶️ Microorganisms: Methanogenic, acetogenic, এবং hydrolytic ব্যাকটেরিয়া।

▶️ BOD/COD অপসারণ: ধীরে হয়; সাধারণত 60–80% পর্যন্ত।

▶️Sludge উৎপাদন: কম; digester বা pond-এ দীর্ঘসময় ধরে স্টোর করা যায়।

▶️ Energy Consumption: কম; প্রাকৃতিক প্রক্রিয়ার মাধ্যমে biogas উৎপাদন সম্ভব।

Water treatment chemicals are used in the process of purifying water for human consumption. Water is purified through several processes, including filtration, sedimentation, coagulation/flocculation, adsorption, and disinfection. Several types of water treatment chemicals can help achieve this goal: pH adjusters, softeners, flocculants and coagulants, corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors/dispersants, biocides, and disinfectants.

Wastewater treatment consists of the chemical and physical processes used to reclaim water that has been deemed no longer suitable for its primary purpose (e.g., drinking, cleaning and chemical reactions) due to a change in its fundamental properties. Such properties are biological oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), pH and others.

Low pH acidic water accelerates corrosion due to a larger supply of hydrogen ions. There are 10 times as many hydrogen ions available at a pH of 7 than at a pH of 8. Water with a pH lower than 7 threatens corrosion prevention initiatives, is considered to be wastewater, and therefore is in need of treatment to increase the ph.
