UPDATE ABOUT STUDENT VISA APPLICATIONS

In recent months, we have experienced a significant increase in the volume of student applications to study in the Netherlands. During the processing of these applications, specific irregularities were identified. To ensure the integrity of the visa process, a comprehensive review of all the current applications is underway. The review also extends to certain previously approved and related family reunification files. We recognize the impact these necessary procedures may have on applicants and that this can result in extended waiting times and potential adjustments to travel schedules. However, these measures are essential to uphold a fair and transparent application system. Most students will be notified of the outcome of the reassessment directly by their respective higher education institutions in the Netherlands. After this, the Embassy will contact the relevant students to facilitate the subsequent steps of the visa application process.

We wish to clarify that all final determinations regarding visa applications (MVV) are made by the responsible authorities in the Netherlands, and not by the Embassy.

For those whose applications remain under review, we anticipate that the authorities involved in the Netherlands will conclude their decisions shortly. We thank all applicants and stakeholders for their continued patience and cooperation as these assessments
