"Know thyself."..
Why it is important is not because you need to know who you are as much as you need to know what others think of you...
I do not know how handsome or beautiful as much as others do know. I cannot film me as properly as others can. In the same way it is really so tough to know about 'myself'...
I know the relationship loses its interest but I do not know why it happens. It is mainly because of "Know thyself"...

Proverbs are more popular in rural and moderately in suburban areas. Many of these proverbs are paradox - assumed incorrect but, only if realised, it sounds appropriate absolutely. For example, "Make haste, less speed" is paradoxically presented. It seems unacceptable but in reality it is absolutely true.
