The UN House of United Nations in Bangladesh needs to be more cautious and stand firmly for justice. Fatema Abedin Nazla’s husband, Altaf Shahnewaz, is an accused sexual harasser, and written complaints against him were submitted by his own colleagues. One of the women involved later died by s*uicide. Fatema Abedin Nazla took her husband’s side without any investigation into the allegations and at different times carried out campaigns against the accusers and tried to discredit them. The UN House in Dhaka should distance itself from such controversial individuals and work toward ensuring justice. We believe these people seek to use their association with the United Nations to gain influence in society.
