🔒 VCB Protection Involves:
✅ 1. Overcurrent Protection
Detects when the current exceeds a safe limit.
Protection relays (e.g., IDMT relay) trip the VCB to prevent damage.
✅ 2. Short-Circuit Protection
Instantaneous tripping in case of a short circuit (high fault current).
Very fast response to prevent explosion or equipment burn.
✅ 3. Earth Fault Protection
Detects leakage to earth or insulation failure.
Trips the breaker if earth current exceeds set value.
✅ 4. Under/Over Voltage Protection
Trips the breaker if voltage goes below or above safe levels.
