Today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) 2026.

In Bangladesh, education, banking, job applications, and government services are now mostly digital.

But is the digital world accessible to everyone?
Many persons with disabilities still face barriers such as inaccessible websites, videos without captions, and forms that are difficult to navigate.

Digital accessibility means designing technology so everyone can use it independently and with dignity.
This GAAD, reflect on one question: Is the digital platform you use every day accessible for all?

বাংলাদেশে শিক্ষা, ব্যাংকিং, চাকরির আবেদন ও সরকারি সেবাসহ প্রায় সবকিছুই এখন ডিজিটাল।

কিন্তু এই ডিজিটাল বিশ্ব কি সবার জন্য প্রবেশগম্য?

এখনও অনেক প্রতিবন্ধী ব্যক্তি অ্যাক্সেসিবল নয় এমন ওয়েবসাইট, ক্যাপশনবিহীন ভিডিও ও জটিল অনলাইন ফর্মের কারণে নিয়মিত বাধার মুখোমুখি হোন।

ডিজিটাল অ্যাক্সেসিবিলিটি মানে এমন প্রযুক্তি তৈরি করা, যা সবাই স্বাধীনভাবে ও মর্যাদার সঙ্গে ব্যবহার করতে পারে।
