আপনি কি জানেন, আপনার ৫-৭ মিনিটের সেই খুব শখের "ওয়েডিং সিনেমাটোগ্রাফি" ভিডিওটা সম্ভবত কেউ পুরোটা দেখছে না। এমনকি আপনার খুব কাছের বন্ধুরাও না।

প্রশ্ন হচ্ছে কেন?

আমরা কি নিষ্ঠুর কথা বলছি? কারণ মানুষের অ্যাটেনশন স্প্যান বা কোনো কিছুতে মনোযোগ ধরে রাখার ক্ষমতা এখন গোল্ডফিশের চেয়েও কম।

একটা স্ট্যাটিস্টিকস বলছে, মানুষ এখন গড়ে মাত্র ৮ সেকেন্ডের বেশি কোনো একটা ভিডিওতে কনসেন্ট্রেট করতে পারে না।

এভাবেই জন্ম নিয়েছে 'রিল' বা 'শর্ট ফর্ম কন্টেন্ট' এর রাজত্ব।

ফেসবুক, ইন্সটাগ্রাম বা টিকটক, সবাই এখন আপনাকে বাধ্য করছে ১৫ থেকে ৬০ সেকেন্ডের ভেতর সবকিছু শেষ করতে।

আপনার খুব দামী লেন্সের স্লো-মোশন শট কিংবা ড্রোন ভিউ দেখার ধৈর্য এখনকার অডিয়েন্সের নেই। তারা চায় ইনস্ট্যান্ট ডোপামিন হিট।

তাহলে কি লং ফরম্যাট বা ৫ মিনিটের সেই সুন্দর সিনেমাটিক ভিডিওগুলো বিলুপ্ত হয়ে যাবে? উত্তর হচ্ছে একদমই না, কিন্তু তাদের রোল (Role) বদলে গেছে।

আগে ভিডিও ছিল 'ইনফরমেশন' বা 'মেমোরি' শেয়ার করার মাধ্যম। এখন লং ভিডিও হয়ে গেছে 'লাক্সারি কনজাম্পশন'।

একটু রয়ে সয়ে লং ভিডিও দেখার ব্যাপারে মানুষের আগ্রহটা বদলে গিয়েছে।

একটা উদাহরণ দেই। ফেসবুক স্ক্রল করতে করতে আপনি যখন একটা ৩০ সেকেন্ডের রিল দেখেন, আপনি সেটা দেখেন 'টাইম পাস' করার জন্য।

কিন্তু যখন আপনি সময় নিয়ে ইউটিউবে বা বড় স্ক্রিনে একটা ৫ মিনিটের ভিডিও দেখেন, আপনি সেটা দেখেন 'এক্সপেরিয়েন্স' করার জন্য।

চেকমেট-এর মতো সমমনা প্রতিষ্ঠিত ব্র্যান্ডগুলো এই সাইকোলজিটা খুব ভালো বোঝে। তারা এখন তাদের মেইন ভিডিওর চেয়েও বেশি ফোকাস করে একটা 'টিজার' বা 'রিল'-এর ওপর।

কারণ ওই ১৫ সেকেন্ডের রিলটাই হচ্ছে আপনার কাস্টমারের জন্য 'হুক'। ওইটা দেখে যদি সে ইমপ্রেসড হয়, তবেই সে কষ্ট করে আপনার ফুল ভিডিওর লিঙ্কে ক্লিক করবে।

মার্কেটপ্লেসের ভাষায় একে বলে 'ফানেলিং'। রিল হচ্ছে আপনার ফানেলের ওপরের অংশ, যা দিয়ে আপনি অজস্র মানুষের নজর কাড়ছেন।

আর লং ভিডিও হচ্ছে ফানেলের নিচের অংশ, যেখানে আপনার আসল 'ব্র্যান্ড ভ্যালু' বা 'আর্ট' জমা থাকে।

শুধু রিল দিয়ে আপনি ভাইরাল হতে পারবেন, কিন্তু 'ব্র্যান্ড' হতে পারবেন না।

কিন্তু সমস্যাটা অন্য জায়গায়। অনেক ফটোগ্রাফি এজেন্সি মনে করে, শুধু রিল বানালেই কেল্লাফতে। আসলে শর্ট ভিডিও বানানো লং ভিডিওর চেয়েও কঠিন।

১৫ সেকেন্ডে একটা গল্প বলা আর ৫ মিনিটে একটা গল্প বলার মধ্যে আকাশ-পাতাল তফাৎ। এখানে প্রতিটা ফ্রেম ইম্পর্টেন্ট, কোনো 'ফিলার শট' দেয়ার জায়গা নেই।

এখন প্রশ্ন হলো, সিনেমাটিক ভিডিওর ভবিষ্যৎ কী? ভবিষ্যৎ হচ্ছে 'হাইব্রিড মডেল'।

যারা মনে করে লং ভিডিওর দিন শেষ, তারা ভুল।

আবার যারা মনে করে রিল স্রেফ শখের জিনিস, তারাও ভুল। আপনাকে দুই নৌকায় পা দিয়েই চলতে হবে।

আমার একটা অবজারভেশন বলি। সামনের দিনগুলোতে আমরা দেখব লং ভিডিওগুলো আরও বেশি 'পার্সোনালাইজড' হয়ে যাচ্ছে।

সেগুলো হয়তো পাবলিকলি আপলোড করার চেয়েও ফ্যামিলি আর্কাইভে রাখার জন্য বেশি জনপ্রিয় হবে। আর পাবলিকলি আপনার ব্র্যান্ডকে রিপ্রেজেন্ট করবে স্রেফ ছোট ছোট সিনেমাটিক রিল।

খেয়াল করে দেখুন, নেটফ্লিক্স বা বড় বড় মুভিগুলোও কিন্তু এখন তাদের প্রোমোশনের জন্য ছোট ছোট ক্লিপ বানাচ্ছে। কেন?

কারণ তারা জানে, আপনাকে মুভি থিয়েটারে নিতে হলে আগে আপনার ফোনের স্ক্রিনে আপনাকে আটকাতে হবে।

একজন ক্রিয়েটিভ বিজনেস এজেন্সী হিসেবে তাহলে স্ট্র্যাটেজি কী হওয়া উচিত? আপনি যদি শুধু লং ভিডিওর ওপর ভরসা করে বসে থাকেন, তবে আপনি ডিজিটাললি ইনভিজিবল হয়ে যাবেন।

আর যদি শুধু রিল বানান, তবে আপনার কাজের ডেপথ থাকবে না।

এবার আমরা চেকমেট-এর পেজটা খেয়াল করি। আমাদের একেকটা রিল একেকটা ছোট গল্পের মতো, নানান ধরনের টাইপের।

তারা জানে মানুষের সময় নেই, তাই তারা অল্প সময়েই সর্বোচ্চ ইমোশনটা ডেলিভারি দিতে চায়।

পরিশেষে একটা কথা মনে রাখবেন, মাধ্যম বদলাতে পারে, কিন্তু মানুষের ইমোশন বদলায় না।

রিল হোক বা লং ভিডিও, যদি আপনার কাজ মানুষের হৃদয়ে না পৌঁছায়, তবে সেটা ৫ সেকেন্ড হোক আর ৫ মিনিট, মানুষ সেটা 'স্কিপ' করেই যাবে।

It all started quite casually… at a common friend’s house. There was a reunion going on, nothing too dramatic- just people catching up and laughing. And right in the middle of that ordinary day, we met for the first time.

At first, it was just a simple introduction. Polite smiles, basic conversation- you know, the usual “getting to know you” phase. Nothing like “I liked this girl” yet. But somehow, that moment stayed.

Then life decided to give us a second scene- this time at Hotel InterContinental. And let’s just say, the conversation didn’t stay basic anymore. It grew. Messages turned into longer chats, and “nice to meet you” slowly turned into “I actually enjoy talking to you.”

So one day, I decided to meet her again- personally this time. And after that conversation, something clicked. It felt different. It felt right. I realized she had that exact personality mix I had been unknowingly looking for- her simplicity and her lively nature just pulled me in.

Eventually, I gathered the courage to say what was on my mind. She, very wisely, didn’t rush. She took her time (which felt like forever, by the way). And then came the moment- the answer was “yes.”

That was the beginning of us.

From there, things only grew deeper. We learned each other, understood each other, and yes, had our fair share of small arguments and playful fights. But the funny thing was- no matter what happened, by the end of the day, we both knew one thing: we simply couldn’t stay apart.

The way we understand and care for each other feels… rare. Like something that doesn’t just happen with anyone.

And that’s why we stayed. That’s why we chose each other.

Now, with marriage, that journey has found a new meaning- a new chapter has begun. A little more responsibility, a lot more love, and hopefully a lifetime of togetherness.

We just hope that this bond stays exactly like this- strong, warm, and a little bit fun- until the very last day.
