Chittagong Club Limited signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Consortium of Bluenergy Solutions Ltd and Gtech Infrastructure Limited for the implementation of a 96.72 kWp solar power project under the OPEX solar model with a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for 11 years.

The signing ceremony, titled “A Landmark Solar OPEX Partnership,” marks a historic achievement as Chittagong Club Limited becomes the first solarized social club in Bangladesh. A huge congratulations to the prestigious Chittagong Club Limited for taking this remarkable step toward sustainability and clean energy adoption.

The ceremony was attended by Commander Md. Shahnewaz Kabir, BN (Retd), Secretary of Chittagong Club Limited, and DM Abu Bakar Siddique, Managing Director & CEO of Gtech Infrastructure Limited, representing the Consortium of Bluenergy Solutions Ltd. and Gtech Infrastructure Limited, along with other senior officials from both organizations.

Under this agreement, the consortium will develop and implement the rooftop solar power system aimed at reducing dependence on conventional energy sources, improving energy efficiency, and promoting environmentally responsible operations.

The initiative reflects the growing adoption of OPEX-based solar solutions in Bangladesh, enabling institutions and organizations to transition to renewable energy without significant upfront investment. The project is expected to generate long-term environmental and economic benefits while contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions and supporting the country’s renewable energy goals.

Representatives from both parties expressed their enthusiasm regarding the collaboration and reaffirmed their commitment to advancing sustainable infrastructure and promoting clean energy practices across Bangladesh.

This landmark initiative is expected to inspire more clubs, institutions, and commercial establishments throughout the country to embrace renewable energy and contribute toward building a greener and more sustainable future.
