Amazon has announced the development of "Metis," a new AI chatbot, set to be released later this year.

Last year, Amazon invested $4 billion to compete with Google, Microsoft, and Apple in the AI field, aiming to become a leader in chat AI.

According to Business Insider, Metis will showcase Amazon's top AI models, known collectively as Olympus. The chatbot is named after Metis, the mother of Athena.

An internal document obtained by Business Insider revealed that Metis will have all the standard chatbot features, such as answering text and image queries in a conversational tone, sharing source links, suggesting follow-up questions, and providing images.

According to Amazon, Metis will have advanced decision-making and task-performing capabilities, operating autonomously thanks to AI learning and algorithms.
