How can you give lactase if breastfeeding?

Express a few tablespoons of breast milk into a sterilized container. Add four drops of lactase and feed it back to the baby using a sterilized spoon. Immediately start breastfeeding as normal.

Lactose is the sugar found in milk and milk products. It is also added to some processed and prepared foods such as salad dressings. An enzyme called lactase is needed for your body to break down (digest) lactose.
