A TRUE STORY BEHIND ‘SAIRU HILL RESORT’

A long time ago, in the distant lands of Banderban, there was a beautiful young Mro maiden who was known as Sairu. She was the daughter of the king of a mountain tribe. She had passionately fallen in love with a young man, who too was the son of the king of another hill tribe. The two tribes were locked in rivalry and hence any sort of socializing was prohibited. Despite all the restrictions the two young lovers continued to meet secretly in these hills. When finally, their tribes got to know about their relationship the young man was married off to a girl within his own tribe. Young Sairu, aggrieved and heartbroken, became depressed and began wondering in these hills alone till one day she was seen no more. Two trees that are growing twined at the crown on a spot along the top of the site, we feel symbolizes their love. Today that spot is known as the SAIRU Point. The complex, Sairu Hill Resort, draws its identity from this Mythical Love Story and the logo from the two tress.
