According to the IDB, the Centre of Government (CoG) refers to “the institution or group of institutions that support a country’s chief executive (President or Prime Minister) in leading the political and technical coordination of the government’s actions, strategic planning of the government’s programme, monitoring of performance, and communication of the government’s decisions and achievements” The ‘Centre of Government’ as perceived by CARICAD comprises the Ministries and Departments in Member States that provide direct support, and advice to the Head of Government and the Cabinet of Ministers.
