Our Christmas in July Community Meal was a fantastic success, with OVER 182 MEALS SERVED to members of our community! It was heartwarming to see so many people come together to enjoy a delicious meal, great conversation and the warmth of being surrounded by friendly faces.

A heartfelt thank you to the QUOTA Club of Wynnum Manly for their incredible generosity and ongoing support in making this special event possible.
We'd also like to sincerely thank our local representatives, Joan Pease MP and Councillor Alex Givney , for joining us on the evening and showing their support for our community 💚

To our amazing volunteers, and everyone who helped behind the scenes - thank you. Your time, care and dedication made the evening one to remember.

At Wynnum Community Place, we believe that sharing a meal is about so much more than food. It's about bringing people together, creating connections, and reminding one another that everyone deserves a place at the table. 💚

Some people don’t just make one donation; they quietly become part of the heartbeat of our community.

Time and time again, Daphne (pictured 2nd from right) and Robyn arrive with exactly the kinds of things we need most. Reusable containers, household essentials, everyday items that might seem small, but make an enormous difference to someone starting over, doing it tough, or simply needing a hand up.

Their generosity doesn’t come with fanfare. It comes with kindness, consistency and a genuine desire to help others.

At WCP, we often say that it takes a community to support a community, and Daphne and Robyn are living proof of that. The work we do simply wouldn’t be possible without people like you standing with us.

We know the families who receive these items may never know your names, but they’ll feel your kindness in every piece donated. 💚
