If you need to grab any gear before the weekend get in before close of business on Friday.
We'll be back again as usual on Tuesday.

Our Welshpool store is proudly powered by off-grid second-life solar and now our customers can tap into this to charge their EV whilst they shop!

We love second-life solar and putting our ethos into practice. These EV chargers are powered by "ugly solar" - second life solar panels that pass fault examinations, but have aesthetic challenges such as discolouration which make them difficult to sell. These "ugly" electrons pass through some of Victron Energy's finest gear (Quattro inverters and EV chargers) and are available guilt-free to charge your EV. One step greener than a traditional solar system, not only are you guaranteed zero electrons from fossil fuels, you are also supporting circularity in the solar industry.

In a linear, form over function economy, these panels would likely have been earmarked for premature recycling or even sent to landfill. As we're committed to keeping things circular, value preservation and lifespan maximisation is our jam. Just as you wouldn't scrap a fully functional car, we shouldn't be scrapping fully functional panels.

This Monday is Labour Day in WA and Alt-Tech Welshpool will be closed.
Alt-Tech Wagga will still be open as usual.

This is our regular public holiday reminder to get prepared and grab anything you might need ahead of the long weekend, the store is open on Saturday morning as usual.
