Getting Started Painting Rocks
Paints and brushes (such as Posca Pens or rock specific paints and brushes) can be purchased from Officeworks or an art supply shop and the rocks in bags from Aumman’s or Bunnings. People often also buy paint pens from Amazon Australia (i.e. Artistro brand, search rock painting) for outlining and doing finer work.
If your rocks are sandy or muddy, you should lightly wash/rinse them and make sure they are fully dry before painting. Then, paint or stencil and be creative to your hearts content.
Make sure they are very dry before you seal them. It is recommended that you spray them with at least two coats of sealant, then you are ready to photograph them, post them in this group, hide your rocks and allow others to enjoy.
Don’t forget to write W'dyte ROCKS and the Facebook symbol on the back!

*****FOUND A ROCK?*****

1. Re-hide it. You can do this at the same location or move it elsewhere. Be sure to let us know you've found it and repost the new location INCLUDING SUBURB on this page when hidden OR
2. Keep it and leave a comment on the 'hide' post advising it’s no longer there.
