This is a community campaign, and we will only succeed with many people taking action.
We know through all our work on the ground that there is overwhelming support to save this forest.
More and more people are learning that the NSW government is moving to rezone the forest from its current environmental zoning so it can be developed by a private developer.
More and more people are telling us how significant this forest is to the residents who live in the suburbs that surround it.
More and more people are becoming aware of how valuable the forest is from our webpage, flyers, reports we've obtained through freedom of information applications, researching, gathering data, and from their own personal observations.
So now, if you, your neighbours, and hundreds more in your electorate, can let your MP know of your concerns by sending a letter, that is action that gets noticed.
The example provided shows the impact this can have.
If you are one of the many who have already sent a letter, we'd also love to hear in the comments if your MP has also responded to you or advocated on your behalf as MP Clayton Barr did in this case.
You can pick up a letter template from us at our stalls at the Glendale Farmers and Artisan Markets or the Newcastle City Farmers Market or contact us for a copy https://linkroadforest.com/contact/
