Student work!!! 🥰

Mikiko, a fellow Ikebana student, attended a Boro & Sashiko workshop with me in March and diligently finished her sashiko stitching at home. She chose indigo Dabu (hand block printed with mud resist paste) dyed fabric on a blue linen base and did her Sashiko stitching with matching thread.

I sewed it up for her into a Komebukuro, a Japanese style rice pouch/drawstring bag. Modelled by my pretty blue Daruma from

It always makes me very happy to see finished projects, so please dear students, keep sending them through to me!!

Next available workshop dates are Saturday, Jul 04 and Aug 01, from 9AM to 1PM.

Bookings available through link in my profile 🪡 or I can put a kit together for you to create your own special project at home 🥰.

Student work!!! 🥰

Susie attended a Boro & Sashiko workshop early May and diligently finished her sashiko stitching at home. She chose a more muted palette of beige and brown patches with a pop of fuchsia and did her Sashiko stitching with matching thread.

She sewed it into a flat zipper pouch with rounded corners and inserted a cream zipper with silver teeth. Well done Susie!!
