Today is a sad reminder to all drivers to be aware of people working roadside
A man was killed this morning after he stopped to secure a load on his truck on the Western Ring Road
This is a risk faced daily by tow truck drivers around the world
Even a momentary lapse in concentration or complacency in the route you take everyday may accidentally prevent someone else making it home to see their families ever again
Our drivers have encountered numerous times where there has only been a split second between another day at work or never going home again
It might not seem it but towing is a dangerous job
So we ask all drivers be careful on the roads
Slow down and give extra room to everyone who is working roadside because they are helping others like you to get where they are going safely and just like you they would like to get home to see their families too
Our sympathies go out to the family of the man killed today, someone just trying to do his job and provide for his family just like the rest of us
