Another major step forward for Securely in India.

Yesterday in Delhi, our Securely Group team, alongside The ArthAum Group, Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), Laghu Udyog Bharati Karnataka and Trade and Investment Queensland, had a highly successful meeting with Ministry Of Food Processing Industries, Government Of India to discuss Securely’s food identity intellectual property.

The Ministry has agreed to move forward with further discussions and introductions to additional ministries as we begin scoping a proof of concept for the cryptographic identity of food through our Food Identity patent, VERA.

The proposed trial, which we hope to commence within the next three months, will explore how high-value Indian produce including internationally prized Alphonso mangoes and other premium agricultural products - can be digitally verified from tree to table, or paddock to plate.

This is about bringing value back to the farm gate.

By combining high-level artificial intelligence, provenance verification, cryptographic identity and advanced traceability, VERA is designed to give food its own trusted digital identity from the tree, to the processing plant, to the truck, to the customer.

One day, a customer in New York, London, Sydney or Singapore should be able to scan a product and know exactly where it was picked, when it was picked, and whether it is genuinely what it claims to be.

This sits beyond traditional blockchain traceability. It is not just tracking a supply chain record; it is about creating a verifiable identity for the food itself.

Very exciting discussions ahead, and a privilege to be working with India on what will become a global-first proof of concept.
