In the old Swallow Bar site, a taste of Italy 🇮🇹 has blossomed on Wheatley Crescent.

Volare has brought the art of Aperitivo to Maylands and with a combination of brilliant cocktails (an Americano and bitter sweet orange negroni frappe pictured) and stunning small plates served between 4 and 6pm, we think it’s a pre-dinner ritual you’ll love.

Prepare to swoon as dishes arrive during this most civilised of Italian bar traditions. Dishes like an inventive chicken liver cannoli (light as a feather pastry shells with a zingy orange gel which I literally licked clean off the plate with my finger) and cheesy mortadella croquettes, crunchy and savoury, all dreamt up in Chef Luca’s ship’s galley-like tiny but powerful kitchen.

A creative dinner menu is launching too so we say ‘ciao!’ to this new arrival con gusto.
