This is the Universe at her brilliant best. 💫

Today is my beautiful Mum’s birthday. 🎂

I woke up about 4.30am and couldn’t sleep.

Sadness. Longing. 😢

I watched the sun rise through the crack between the window and the blinds until I got up at 5.30am. ☀️

I just stared at the tattoo on my arm that says, I love you. ❤️

It’s in her handwriting. 🖊️

It’s my favourite.

I just want to be able to talk to her again.

And I do – every day – but it’s not the same.

My eyes wept as I went for my walk this morning, then I was drawn to this on the ground.

The feather. 🪶

It’s the sign for my Mum.

Always believe in the power of miracles. 🌟

I know she’s watching me. I know she’s guiding me. I know she’s still loving me… but just from afar. 🌈

Reflection 💭

I’m now just over 31 days on my 75 thrive journey. 🙌

Kinda nearly half way. ✅

It’s been good. Actually, it’s been great.

I’m energised. I’m invigorated. I’m excited. 🤗

I’ve laid on the beach with my toes in the sand. 🏖️

I’ve laid in the park with my toes in the grass. 🌳

Grounding. Grounding. Grounding. 🌈

Learning more about myself each day.

What’s been easiest? Not drinking but I’m not surprised about that. 🥂

I’m not a daily after work drinkies. I’m not a Friday arvo drinkies. I’m not really a weekend drinkies either.

I’m more of an event drinkies girl. And January was pretty quiet so that helped somewhat.

What’s been easier than I thought?

Getting off socials.📱

OMG, who would have thought?

I’ve only used socials to post on my biz pages and to check notifications.

Recently, I’ve been on for about 5 minutes a day. Max.

I lost my interest. I gained so much time. 🥰

I’ve been reading again. And it’s incredible! 📖

I’m calmer. I’m fitter. I’m healthier. I’m clearer.

Am I still eating chocolate? Answer, yes! 🍫

I’m not going to change something that ALWAYS brings me joy.

But I’ve just been eating less. One fun-sized Twirl a day.. or two. 😋

And the thing I’ve enjoyed the most… my daily walk. 🚶‍♀️

I’ve been putting in my airpods and getting spiritual again. It’s beautiful. 😍

15 minutes after my 30 minute workout. That’s it. 🏋️‍♀️

There’s so much clarity in a 15 minute walk.

Here’s where I’m at and it feels so good. 💕

Have you ever had a moment in nature where you’ve simply been in awe? 😮

By a rainbow, a storm, the grass, the tress, the smell of herbs, or the colour of a beautiful flower? 🌈⛈️🌳🌿🌼

I specifically remember walking into the garden section of a Bunnings store and being overwhelmed by the magic of the Hydrangeas.

So much so, that I took this photo (and it’s still in my phone). 💕

It was an instant reminder of how beautiful and bold the colour of flowers can be.

And it took me straight back to being a child, and remembering my Grandparents garden that was lined with them. 🥰

Such connected memories, through nature, and in Bunnings of all places.

In book, Your Soul Had A Dream Your Life Is It, Rebecca talks about Becoming An Awe Seeker.

This is a super-simple practice, that literally can take 10 seconds.

Look around, you’ll find beauty in nature everywhere.

Here’s how to do it:

🌺 Go into nature and see if you can shift into a state of awe.

🌺 Do it for 10 seconds if you like.

🌺 Take 10 big breaths and see if you can truly be in the present moment.

🌺 Notice the beauty around you, and consciously choose to connect with the Spirit of Life.

🌺 Notice the shift that occurs.

🌺 You could choose to journal about your experience or tell a loved one.
