👩‍🌾 From paddocks to prosperity!

Starting out in agriculture can be tough, but for Luke and Jake Anning, QRIDA’s First Start Loan made it possible to turn their dreams into reality.

With guidance from QRIDA’s Regional Area Manager for the North West and Gulf, Sam Fryer, the brothers secured concessional finance to establish their own 🐮 cattle businesses on their family’s station, 40km north of Hughenden.

Watch their story to see how QRIDA is helping young Queensland graziers like Luke and Jake take the next step in their agricultural careers with confidence.

QFF is hosting a Tips and Tools for Tough Times workshop for farmers on Thursday 18 June with Elizabeth McNaughton, Founder of Disastrous.

Farming is unpredictable. Drought, natural disasters, global market shifts, and the pressure of carrying it all can wear even the toughest of us down. This workshop is your chance to step back, connect with others who get it, and arm yourself and those around you with some genuinely useful tools.

Elizabeth will guide you through the Doing Well cards, a practical deck of 100 cards that distils decades of recovery knowledge and neuroscience into simple, everyday actions. You'll build a personalised wellbeing and resilience plan you can actually use on the farm.

📆 Thursday, 18 June 2026
🕘 9am arrival for 9:30am start - 2:30pm
📍 Miners Lantern Event Space, Tamborine Mountain Glades
Tamborine Mountain Rd & Cedar Creek Falls Rd,
