🦷 Myth: Kids don’t need to see a dentist until they’re older
✅ Fact: The earlier, the better!

Many parents wait until their child has a full set of teeth or experiences a problem before visiting the dentist... but did you know that the first dental visit is recommended by age 1, or within 6 months of the first tooth appearing?

👶 Early dental visits:
✔️ Help your child feel comfortable in the dental chair
✔️ Allow our specialists to check for early signs of decay or developmental issues
✔️ Give parents the right tools to support healthy habits at home (like brushing techniques, nutrition advice, and dummy use)
✔️ Prevent small issues from becoming big problems later on

💬 Our paediatric dental specialists love guiding families step by step with patience, care, and fun! 🥰

📍 Book your first visit today! All info is in our bio.

Did you know there’s a simple mineral that can protect your child’s smile from cavities? Let’s talk about fluoride! ✨

Fluoride is a natural mineral that plays a crucial role in protecting your child’s teeth from cavities. It helps strengthen tooth enamel, making teeth more resistant to decay caused by bacteria.

Why is it important?
From the moment your baby’s first teeth appear, using a fluoride toothpaste helps prevent cavities, which can quickly damage young teeth.

But be careful to use the right amount depending on your child’s age:
👶 For babies and children up to 3 years old: use a smear of fluoride toothpaste about the size of a grain of rice.
👦 For children aged 3 to 6: use a pea-sized amount.

Why these amounts?
Too much fluoride can cause dental fluorosis, white spots or streaks on the teeth caused by excessive fluoride intake. That’s why it’s important that children don’t swallow toothpaste.

Practical tips:
✔️ Supervise your child’s brushing until they’re old enough to spit out toothpaste reliably.
✔️ Choose a toothpaste specially formulated for children, with an appropriate fluoride level.
✔️ Ask your pediatric dentist if you have any questions or concerns.

Taking care of your child’s teeth now ensures a healthy, happy smile for life! 😄🦷

🦷 Myth: If my child isn’t complaining, there’s no dental problem.
✅ Fact: Early cavities often cause no pain at all until they become serious!

Many dental issues in children, like early decay or enamel wear, develop silently. Kids might not mention any discomfort until the problem is advanced and that’s when treatments become more complex 😕

That’s why regular dental check-ups, even when everything seems fine, are key to catching issues early before pain (and cost) begin 🪥

💬 Prevention is powerful and our paediatric specialists are here to keep little smiles on track with gentle, proactive care!
