The Sunshine Coast Indoor Hockey (SCIH) commences in early October and continues through to the end of February with a break for Christmas. The SCIH competitions are played in the Indoor Sports Stadium of the University of the Sunshine Coast, Sippy Downs, Sunshine Coast. Indoor hockey played within the SCIH structure is not defined by ‘Clubs’ but rather by ‘Teams’ which are formed by groups of individuals that may spread across several outdoor club, representative teams or personal friendships. It’s primarily more social and less official than Sunshine Coast field hockey, however it’s still competitive and operational rules are in place which need to be observed. Each team will need a co-ordinator / contact whom is responsible for submitting the Team Nomination Form, collecting / paying the team fees and being the liaison between the team members and SCIH.
