About the role: 
 
An exciting full time opportunity exists for a highly motivated and proactive Assistant Manager to join Hightide Café. You will be responsible for supporting the Café Manager in successfully operating a busy food and beverage business. 
 
• Support and be accountable for the front of house team, services and procedures. 
• Regular coaching, training and mentoring of front of house staff. 
• Ensure the team is delivering excellent service. 
• Induction of front of house staff 
• Cost control with a focus on labour 
• Assist with stock control 
• Building relationships with customers and regulars 
• Assist in management operations 
 
About You: 
 
• Previous experience in a similar role 
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on staff training 
• Have the ability to lead by example 
• Passion for the hospitality industry 
• An ability to think outside the box 
• Effective time management and organisational skills 
• Hands on approach with a natural ability to lead a team to deliver outstanding service

Once again, we at High-Tide Semaphore are looking for a passionate and experienced barista to join our incredible team ☕️ 
 
We have 20-25 hours available over a seven day roster with the possibility to increase hours for the right candidate. 
 
We are looking for: 
 
- specialty coffee experience preferred, though not essential for the candidate with the right attitude 
 
- basic and consistent latte art ability 
 
- confident in handling high volumes (6kg+ per day) on the machine both independently and with others 
 
- weekend availability 
 
- attention to detail and accuracy in a fast paced environment 
 
About the role: 
 
- dialling both a blend and single origin beans 
 
- ability to maintain consistent shots throughout service 
 
- programming volumetrics to single origin parameters 
 
- maintenance of both coffee machine & grinders
