On Thursday, Paul and Stephen braved the conditions to collect AAT’s new J170D from the factory in Bundaberg. The smile on Paul’s face when he landed back in Redcliffe was priceless. It’s a beautiful aircraft, featuring a Dynon HDX display and a roomy interior, and it’s ready to help students achieve their goals.

Paul said “As a dual Part 141 / RAAus school, we transition students from RAAus into the CASA system, where they move on to larger legacy aircraft. One of the great things about the J170 is that its speeds are similar to the Cessna 172, making the transition between the two aircraft much smoother.”

The team at Jabiru have been fantastic to deal with. A big thank you to Sue and Jamie, who accommodated us at short notice so we could collect the aircraft. We’re truly grateful for the time and effort you put in to make sure we were fully prepared before departing.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Hayden started flying with us in April, and last week he achieved his first solo flight in The Mighty Foxbat. Congratulations Hayden!

Congratulations Steve on going solo. Steve has returned to aviation after a long break to continue his training. We love it when people come back after years away, and find the passion that once drove them to learn to fly. We can’t wait to see where your flying takes you!

New addition to the fleet at AAT! ✈️🌙

We’re excited to introduce our new Night VFR capable A22 Foxbat — opening up even more opportunities for safe, comfortable flying after sunset. With the Foxbat’s great visibility, forgiving handling, and Garmin avionics, it’s an awesome addition to the fleet and a whole new way to enjoy the skies.
