Have your preparations languished in my absence? As inclement weather returns to our southern provinces, so do I; urging you to make haste in your storm provisions.

The first front of the season is always a lively affair, but take comfort that this year’s foray into wintertime on Wednesday will be but mildly bothersome.

Our Orange Diamonds of the First Water, our gallant State Emergency Service volunteers are at the ready. Though preparations by you, my Avid Readers, may ensure they stay snug in their stately homes.

And so, Gentle Reader, the challenge has been set forth – attend to your gutters, trim back unruly shrubbery and tether your trampolines!
