We are happy to announce that our renovations of reception are complete!
As of Monday we will be operating as usual and welcome you all through our reception entrance of the clinic. See you next week!

We want to start by saying a huge thank you for your patience and understanding today!
Due to the heavy rain our ceiling in reception is having some repairs and our main entrance will be temporarily closed while the tradies do their thing. 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙘 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚 𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙣 𝙖𝙨 𝙪𝙨𝙪𝙖𝙡 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 9am Wed 20th May ( 𝙩𝙤𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙬 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜).
Alternative entrance is via the back door which will be clearly signed on arrival.

🐾 Meet the Team –Dr Kelwin! 🐾

Say hello to Dr Kelwin, one of our awesome vets!

Dr Kelwin is one of our newest members to The Exotics Vet team. He graduated in 2024, with 2 years prior experience as a veterinary nurse in other exotics practices. He has been passionate about exotic animals since childhood (especially birds and reptiles!) – and yes, we’ve got the adorable throwback photo with a pet Aldabra tortoise to prove it 🐢

Favourite part of the job?
“Being able to save animals’ lives and seeing them recover is definitely the most rewarding part.”

What is your favourite species?
Reptiles!

Pets at home:
Fuji (Border Collie) and Aji (Domestic Short Hair) – best friends with a very wholesome bond 🐶🐱
Aji is so obsessed with Fuji that grooming sessions are non-negotiable!
Kelwin also has a veiled chameleon and a zero bearded dragon back home in Hong Kong.

Fun facts:
• Loves outdoor adventures – fishing, camping, and just about every sport 🎾
• Big fan of classic Japanese cars (previously owned a 1987 Supra MKIII 🚗)
• And he once treated a flamingo with bumblefoot while volunteering at a wildlife sanctuary!

🧠 Dr Kelwin's myth to bust:
Reptiles are not low-maintenance pets! They need very specific husbandry, lighting, and diet to thrive.
