A Sacred Visit to Palitana Temple Town, Gujarat (India)

Having travelled to New Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai in just about 2 weeks to capture some of the city’s best-known monuments, I came across an article in one of the popular newspapers, and it felt the right time for me to pay equal attention to another beautiful religious place, Palitana, in Gujarat. Unlike some popular bloggers, I have never believed in leaving a full-time job to travel, unless you are a super-duper success having sufficient regular income from this profession, or you don't have any home responsibilities. I feel I can still manage to see many more places, especially in and around Australia and India, whilst I am in my full-time job. The idea then is to hop on a flight so I can cover the maximum distance in the shortest time, to reach the destination faster, which gives me more time to explore better.

Palitana temple town fitted the bill perfectly.

Bright, Victoria is generally considered as one of the best country-side towns in Victoria along side Daylesford, Sorrento etc. A quick trip down there for a couple of days helped us rewind and experience a bit of different atmosphere different from the hustle bustle of a busy city like Melbourne.
Located about 350 KMs from where we live in Melbourne, it takes about 4-5 hours depending on traffic and refreshment break. Usually a very popular place in its all-famous Autumn season with orange coloured tree leaves and all around March-April, this was still a good time to go. Very hot though at this point.

Hello Friends.

As some of you are aware, I used to operate a travel blog back from 2015 to 2018, wherein I used to write on all the places I visited, post pictures and videos. It grew fairly popular towards it's end with sponsorships & collaborations with airlines / hotels & other brands coming my way but eventually I had to stop it for some personal reasons when I moved to Australia.

Now life seems good and I am at a happy place. I still want to do something apart from regular 9-to-6 job. So I have tried to "re-ignite" my favourite hobby of travel blogging.

Just a week ago, I along with my family went to the Shri Shiva Vishnu Temple.

This Hindu temple in Carrum Downs region in Victoria is some 30-35 KMs from Melbourne CBD and is one of the major Hindu temples in Victoria and a key spiritual and cultural hub for the Hindu community.
It is built in a South Indian style with beautiful architectural carvings.
