Thanks to Minister for Skills and TAFE Colin Brooks MP, Melbourne Polytechnic Chief Executive Frances Coppolillo and DJSIR executive Sam Ho for joining us to discuss the new second campus for Preston High School, and how it can be integrated with Melbourne Polytechnic, the Darebin Council land and the Small Sites development.

Thank you to Minister Paul Edbrooke MP for visiting Summerhill Residential Park to hear from residents and staff.

Some of the issues discussed included:

— cost-of-living pressures and high site rents relative to the Age Pension;

— the calculation of deferred management fees (noting the current Lifestyle Communities VCAT matter);

— clarity of site agreements, particularly around services, maintenance and community facilities;

— the Allan Labor Government’s recent reforms; and

— the potential for further reforms.
