Let's get back to the basics. What is RFID?
Radio Frequency Identification is wireless touch-free technology that uses radio frequency waves to transfer data. RFID uses small radio frequency identification devices to automatically and uniquely identify and track people, assets, articles, animals, and vehicles and monitors their movements through portals.

• RFID technology automates data collection and vastly reduces human effort and error.
• RFID supports simultaneous multiple identification of tags, with no line-of-sight or item-by-item scans requirements, increasing efficiency.
• RFID is used across many industry sectors including institutions such as hospitals, care homes, and prisons; transportation and logistics; sports timing events; stock control, and animal tracking.
• RFID improves efficiency and safety by assisting with emergency evacuation and infection control.
