MANY HANDS MAKE LIFE WORK: DONATIONS ADMIN VOLUNTEER NEEDED

Behind every furniture delivery and household pack is a busy little command centre keeping donations flowing. Our Starting Over Support (SOS) team is looking for a friendly and organised Donations Admin Volunteer to help us manage the many communications that come in from our generous community each day.

Our team works through hundreds of messages, calls, and emails, and an extra pair of capable hands will help us keep everything running smoothly so donated items can reach people rebuilding their lives after crisis.

WHAT'S INVOLVED:

💛 Answering and assisting with busy phone calls from the public
💛 Responding to emails and text messages from donors
💛 Supporting the team with general admin and communication tasks
💛 Helping coordinate the flow of household and furniture donations

WHEN WE NEED YOU:
💛 Tuesday | 9.00am to 3pm

WHO THIS ROLE SUITS:
💛 Someone comfortable managing busy phones and multiple communications
💛 People with good communication and organisational skills
💛 Friendly, community-minded individuals who enjoy helping others
💛 Full support will be provided, and you’ll be working alongside a welcoming and supportive team.

Our Starting Over Support (SOS) team helps people transitioning from crisis situations such as homelessness, domestic violence, and hardship by providing essential household items and furniture. With the help of volunteers, we organise, sort, clean and distribute donations so individuals and families can begin their next chapter with dignity and hope.

🚨 SOS: HERO DRIVERS & DRIVER ASSISTS NEEDED! 🚨

Our Starting Over Support program helps individuals and families relocate and rebuild during some of the most challenging times in their lives - and we can’t do it without our drivers.

For Thursdays throughout April and May, we’re urgently calling on reliable volunteer drivers and driver assists to help pick up donated items and transport them to our factory, where they’re sorted and prepared for those in need. Every pickup makes a real difference. 🤍

Flexible timings and the chance to be part of something that truly matters.

We were absolutely delighted to welcome our lovely young people from Switch Living back again in January to help us with so many tasks.

The thought, care, and dedication they bring to everything they do never goes unnoticed. These incredible young people are all studying for their degrees at university, yet they still find the time to come and support our work - which truly means the world to us.
