Do you have halogen lighting around your home?
Did you know halogen downlight’s require a heat shroud to protect insulation inside your roof space from causing a fire? 🔥🔥🔥
We had a lucky client who nearly lost their home due to a halogen downlight not being correctly fitted with a heat shroud. Halogens get extremely hot and as a result, it set the insulation alight nearly burning the house down.
Most new LED downlights are IC-4 rated. Which means they are designed for insulation to be over/around them and they won’t catch alight.
