Three weeks until these talented individuals perform! Don’t miss out on seeing Amalgam-Ant and their incredible show.

This year, we are *incredibly* excited to be able to provide new opportunities for young artists through a collaborative partnership between the of Cockburn and Youth Arts WA, providing dedicated arts funding to support and promote young artists and enrich the community’s culture.

One of the grant winners whose works have been developed for Coogee Live is Dior's AMALGAM-ANT - a contemporary dance work exploring amalgamation and metamorphosis which (really just sings to this year's festival theme!).

The piece celebrates the connections people have with one another and their homes while also delving into the beauty and joy that arises when individuals embrace their unique contributions to a harmonious whole.

The full weekend-long festival program is live now, check it via the link in bio 🔗

Powerful and heartbreakingly stunning! Get your red shoes out and head to https://www.redshoesaustralia.com.au/elena-chauvet to stand in solidarity 👠👠

👠Australia’s most important shoe collection needs you. 👠

Los Zapatos Rojos (The Red Shoes) is a powerful global art installation that’s coming to Australia for the first time.

It’s being recreated here at the WA Museum Boola Bardip as part of the 16 Days in WA campaign to end violence against women.

The exhibition began in Mexico in 2009, when artist Elina Chauvet laid pairs of donated red shoes after her 32-year-old sister was murdered by her husband.

Now, local organisers need your help to make their important (fashion) statement.

They’re looking for 392 pairs of red women’s shoes - painted or original - to represent the total number of women murdered in Australia between 2015 and 2020.

Head to www.redshoesaustralia.com.au for details on how to donate ♥️
