🗓️ Nope—but like a sports team, you can’t expect to thrive if you skip practice.

We grow by doing—delivering speeches, taking on roles, and engaging with the club.

Many people find they learn just as much—if not more—from observing other speakers and listening to their evaluations as they do from being evaluated themselves. Every meeting and role (including audience member) is an opportunity to learn something new.

You don’t need to be perfect—just show up regularly and you’ll improve, guaranteed.

When Phillippa of The Sharing Shed, first joined Toastmasters after moving to Perth, when she was finding it tricky to break into the local business scene. She was on the lookout for like-minded professionals and saw Toastmasters as a way to start building her network.

The second time around, it was about more than business—it was about connection. She returned to Toastmasters to extend her network and be part of a community.
