Another wonderful children's book I've had the pleasure of reading this month is Coen the Unicorn: Just the Way You Are.

I've been making an effort to support some of the amazing indie authors out there!

I really enjoyed the positive message that it's okay to be different and that being yourself is something to celebrate. It's such an important reminder for children as they grow and discover who they are.

The bright, colourful illustrations are beautiful, and I especially loved that the book includes activity pages and colouring pages at the end.

If you're looking for a heartwarming children's book that celebrates confidence, kindness, and individuality, this one is well worth checking out.

There's something magical about the moment the house finally goes quiet after a busy morning with a toddler.

Sometimes, the best way to recharge is getting lost in someone else's story for a little while.

Happy Friday!

What is everyone having for dinner tonight?

We often have Frozen Surprise on Fridays!

I cook a lot of meals that have leftovers, so I freeze them in containers. On days when I don't have the energy to cook, I open the freezer and pull out one container each, and that's what we have for dinner!

One of my recent reviewers said they read my book during nap time.

As a parent myself, who does everything in nap time, I loved hearing that.

I know not everyone has hours to sit down with a book, so I wrote a collection of short psychological thrillers that can be enjoyed in those small pockets of time we manage to carve out for ourselves.

Finally taking some time out for myself after another busy week!

My toddler’s eating habits are so unpredictable.

One day he’ll demolish dinosaur nuggets, so I buy a 1kg bag… and now he’ll just nibble the head off one and declare he’s done.

He loves alphabet spaghetti, so I make it again another day… and he eats five pieces.

He eats bread and butter, although he once saw his dad eating it and now calls it “Dad’s bread.” So of course I make it for him… and he refuses to eat it. Possibly because it was Mum’s bread that day instead.

Mentally preparing myself for my second day at work.

I'm now experiencing the joys of working when you have children.

I can start my job whenever I want.

The old me would start early and get the day over and done with. The new me has to wait patiently for my toddler to also be ready.

The boss has added four more houses to my list today, so I'm silently panicking that I won't get it done on time.

Wish me luck on my dog-poo picking up (yes, that's my job) journey today.

Due to a restless night with a toddler, survival mode has been activated today.

I'm very grateful for my caramel iced latte!

Fun Fact Tuesday 💡
When my husband and I got married, we did something a bit unexpected…
We dressed in opposite colours.

I wore a black wedding dress, and he wore a white suit.

It wasn’t traditional, but it felt perfect for us.
