We had a lovely workshop today. Participants created gorgeous porcelain buttons, each unique limited only by imagination. The buttons have now been taken for firing in the kiln but we will have more photos to share later.

Our social night has been cancelled for tonight but we will see you all next fortnight in our new space next door where there is room for our growing group of spinners, crocheters and knitters.
Next social night is Thursday 2nd July 4-8pm
We had a lovely day out at the Worldwide Knit in Public Day and Friendship Day with the Handweavers and Spinners Guild of WA.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to enhance their stash or just say hi 🩷
We are set up at Alexander Park Craft House in Menora Perth. Come and say hi.
Jo is holding fort at the shop which is also open today from 10 - 2pm
We’ve had two orders from Re:Designed arrive in the last couple of weeks including some bags in Red Cherry and Taupe, two new colours for us. Everything in stock is listed online and we will be bringing some to the market in Menora on Saturday. Message us if there is a particular one you would like us to bring for you to look at.
Check them out on our website and let us know.
It’s cold today so here is a little spot of brightness in your day.
Social group and late night shopping tonight.
Gorgeous soft Haunui wool top in stock in three natural colours (dyed colours coming soon). This fibre is amazing. Think ultrafine Merino blended with baby alpaca soft.
A fresh look at the shop.
Yesterday Sandra and I spent the day doing some love bombing in the shop, new stock, a new shelving unit, some rearranging and a touch of cleaning. Pop in and have a look. It’s warm and cosy.
The weather forecast for this long weekend isn’t great. It’s going to be a good weekend to settle in with your knitting or crochet and something warm to drink.
We love supporting Australian makers because we are makers too. Both Sandra and Cheryl are indie dyers with nearly 25 years of dyeing experience between us.
When you shop at Cosy Cottage Yarns you’re supporting local indie dyers and suppliers, people who pour themselves into every little part of their business. That passion comes out in every skein, each one an individual work of art.
I’m sure you’ve heard the rumblings of how it’s getting tougher for small businesses. Come in this week and see what’s on the shelves or shop online and support us and through us you are supporting them as well so each purchase supports two small businesses.
Help us keep other small Aussie businesses alive and healthy.
We are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 - 2pm.
